Update

I have been wanting to update our blog for a long time but it just has not made the priority list until tonight. Last week Jeff and I went back to AZ for spring break. We drove the 15 hours all through the night so that Brayden would sleep the majority of the trip.

My mother started her chemo treatment the weekend we arrived. Last Friday she was sent to the ER because her doctor thought she had an infection. My mother was miserable and it was very hard to watch her be in so much pain. She was released from the hospital today and it looks like she did have an infection but the dosage of chemo she was given was too much for her to handle. That is what made her so sick. Hopefully they can figure out the best dosage for her.

I have been feeling so bad that I am not in AZ to help my mother and father out more. I wish I lived 1000 miles closer but it is not possible right now. I was talking to my friend Lucy the other day about my feelings. She told me that by serving my ward here in Texas, people in my parents ward will serve her in my place. Today I called home to see how things were going. My brother informed me that my mother is coming home today and that she is feeling better. He also told me the young women in their ward were cleaning up the house for my mom. If you know my mom she loves having a very clean house. I wanted to cry. My parents ward have been so good to my family. People have brought dinners, my mother's visiting teacher took my mom to the ER last Friday and stayed with her at the hospital the entire day until my dad was able to get to the hospital, and now the YW have given up time during their spring break to help clean. My heart is full. I have the opportunity to work with and serve the Young Women in my ward and I have just recently been called to be the ward camp leader. I have a testimony of what it means to have a ward family.

Our trip to AZ was short but I was glad to spend time with family and loved ones. I was able to see the baby blessing of my best friend Janae's baby girl. My sister and I decorated her daughters room and baby room. Jeff's favorite mission companion and his wife just had a baby girl and we were able to see her, we helped my dad with the Mormon prom dinner for my brother, celebrated my nieces birthday, and spent time with the Anthons. Our computer caught a virus so I will have to download pictures a little later of our trip. Thanks for the love and support we have felt these past few months.
