Brielle's Baby Room

I am finally getting around to posting pictures of Brielle's baby room. The room is pretty much finished, I just have a few finishing touches I will add when I find exactly what I am looking for. This room has been a labor a love from many of my family members.

Back in August I started looking for baby girl bedding when I knew for sure we were having a girl. I wanted to find bedding that was pink and green but that did not have a particular theme. I found this bedding set at Target.com. I ordered the bed skirt, crib sheet, and bumper. The set for some reason did not come with a blanket so I ordered an extra crib sheet and asked my Aunt Sue if she could sew me a baby blanket. I think she did a wonderful job. I love the buttons and
green polka dot edging she put on the blanket.

Eventually I plan on adding longer green bumper ties. For some reason they never make them long enough to tie around the crib. Sad story about the bumper is I ordered it August 19th and I did not get it until December 22nd. I was so upset that it took Target this long but I am glad I waited because I love how the bumber looks. My mother-in law (Jill) sewed the thick green ribbon to the very bottom of the crib skirt to add a little more color to it.

The pictures do not give the wall color justice. The walls are a pretty apple green color. I want to thank Uncle Larry, Aunt Sue, and Jill for helping me paint Brielle's room.

I have always wanted to put a canopy above the crib when I had a girl, but the more I thought about it I realized she would probably pull it down so instead I decided to hang this white sheer. I bought brown drapery knobs at Hobby Lobby and I spray painted them white and then I super glued the gerber daisies onto them. Jill folded and pinned the white sheer in place.

This is the view of Brielle's room as you walk in from the door.

I had bought these white baskets for Brayden's room back when he was baby but they had blue and white lining inside them. Instead of buying knew baskets Jill and I decided we would just sew new basket liners. The fabric we used was a polka dot roxy sheet I bought from Ross. Jill did a beautiful job sewing the liners! I think they turned out adorable. The lamp is from Kirklands and we got it on clearance for $14.99. I still need to spray paint the lamp base white.

All the pillows in Brielle's room are from Ross. You gotta love Ross and their prices.

This shoe is also from Ross. I could not believe it matched perfect with Brielle's room.

I wanted to have a chandelier in Brielle's room but I did not realize how expensive they can be. Luckily I found this chandelier at Walmart.com. I eventually want to add little pink lamp shades to it. I have to say I really enjoyed decorating Brielle's room. Sometimes I wish I could sleep in her room because it is so fun and girlie.

Brielle 3 months

Once again things have been crazy here at the Fuller household. A new year has begun and we have already made some changes. Brielle is changing the most out of all of us. Brielle is three months now and we are starting to see some personality. She smiles and coos and still sleeps the majority of the day. She loves to be in the swing. In fact she prefers to sleep in the swing rather than in the crib. She loves to suck on her fist. I don't think she has quite figured out that you can suck on just one finger. She wakes up once at night but goes right back to bed once she is given a bottle. We love her to pieces. I posted a picture of Brielle in this outfit at 3 weeks old. This is what she looks like in the outfit at 3 months old. She has filled out quite a bit. Don't you just love big baby smiles? And how can anyone resist kissing those chubby baby cheeks?

I bought these adorable zebra pants at Babies R Us.

Grandma Jill and Brielle pretty in pink for Valentines Day!
